Working within the framework of a multi-disciplinary project team of planners, economists and transportation engineers, a comprehensive plan was developed for a community grappling with exploding growth as a result of construction of Interstate-99. With the highway and 14 new or expanded interchanges the rural character, natural resources and quality of life of the community were under threat. Was responsible for implementing a participatory community planning process and developing strategies for smart growth planning design and environmental resource protections.
