The Susquehanna Greenway is the newest chapter in the Susquehanna Story. The Greenway is envisions as the framework for a new realm of open spaces, recreation areas, facilities and connecting trails - all vital to maintaining human health and spirit, improving the character of communities, the economic prospects of people, and the quality of life.
The Susquehanna River is an underutilized and under appreciated resource. Brian worked as part of a diverse Planning Team, consisting of county and regional planners, state and federal agencies, to develop the Susquehanna Greenway Vision, Concept Design and Strategic Action Plan. Brian served as the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership’s first Coordinator - during the formation of the organization as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Susquehanna Greenway is one of the largest greenway planning efforts in the United States, and was recognized with a Planning and Analysis award by the state chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
